Your Summer Starts Here!

The 31st annual Columbia Festival of the Arts: June 14 – 30, 2018.

The free 3-day LakeFest at the Downtown Columbia Lake Front will be Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, June 15 – 17.

LakeFest will feature an international spectacle performance, more than 50 visual artists from up and down the east coast, festive foods, and Clyde’s Howard on Tap Beer Festival featuring a Manor Hill summer ale brewed just for the Festival!

KidzART will provide fun Children’s art making activities in the Simon Decker Arts Tent and there will be participatory children’s music activities with the Olenka School of Music.

Bands on the lake stage will include mid-Atlantic favorites such as Chopteeth Afrofunk Big Band and Los Gaiteros de Sanguashington.  Last year’s favorites return – the US Navy Band Cruisers, along with the Bullbuckers, Nelly’s Echo, and The Sidleys.   Home-grown stars will include the Glenelg Jazz Ensemble, the Columbia Jazz Band, the Centennial Jazz Band, and the Columbia School of Rock.

Check back for announcements of events that will include, films, adventuresome theatre, the Stoop Storytelling Series, and a Grammy and Tony Award winning jazz artist you won’t want to miss!  Festival Donors will have first access to ticket purchases.

With performances, free events, and unique art experiences, the Columbia Festival of the Arts has a little something for the whole family.
