Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory Preview Trailer!
In celebration of The Mall In Columbia’s 50th Anniversary, Columbia Festival of the Arts is delighted to present a FREE OUTDOOR screening next to the Fountain Plaza of the classic 1971 movie musical family favorite WILLY WONKA AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY, Saturday September 25th at 7PM. Bring A Chair!
As Warner Classics brilliantly invites – “Join the expedition visiting legendary Candy Man Willy Wonka (Gene Wilder) in a splendiferous movie that wondrously brings to the screen the endlessly appetizing delights of Roald Dahl’s classic book. Coated with flavorful tunes and production design that constantly dazzles the eye, this effervescent musical never fails to enchant young and old. On a whirlwind tour of Willy’s incredible, edible realm of chocolate waterfalls, elf-ish Oompa-Loompa’s and industrial sized confections, a boy named Charlie (Peter Ostrum) will discover the sweetest secret of all: a generous, loving heart. And you will re-discover the magic of a delicious family classic.”

What is the Columbia Film Festival?
Founded in 2016, the Columbia Film Festival aims to introduce Howard County audiences to the best in world, national, and local cinema, and is dedicated to inspiring and reflecting the diverse community it serves.
Originally presented LIVE to audiences, in 2020 Columbia Film Festival was forced to move to a virtual platform due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. For 2021 we are excited to use the powerful EVENTIVE platform to present over 60 films online, as well as via Apple TV and Roku!
The Columbia Film Festival presents films from all genres, including features, shorts, documentaries, world cinema, special themes, Maryland based films, as well as works by student filmmakers.
