Z Designs Fine Art by Eva Zang Tkatch is where love of color, expression and creativity come together. Her goal is to bring joy and color to your world through her vibrant, abstract and expressive artwork. Her work features happy, colorful abstract paintings from abstract faces to expressive florals to impressionist landscapes. As an abstract artist, her primary mediums are inks and acrylics. In the past year, Eva has been exploring collage using her own hand-painted papers. She creates her artwork on a variety of substrates such as canvas, clayboard, wood panels, and paper. Her artwork has been shown in many exhibitions, including Brookside Gardens, Ranazul Restaurant, Laurel-Beltsville Senior Center, Goldman Gallery at the Bender JCC and Montpelier Arts Center. She is currently on the Board of the Laurel Art Guild and serves as their treasurer and membership chair.
Eva’s interest in expressive art started early in life and led her to a B.A in Art History and Sociology and an M.A. in Education. She has been fortunate enough to express her creativity throughout her career in adult learning, management, and photography. Eva has spent much of her free time for the past twenty-nine years dabbling in arts and crafts. Now that she is retired, she has become a full-time artist continuing to create in alcohol inks, acrylics, collage and watercolor.
