Shawn Theron and his SOGH Art Truck love to serve art to the world. Born, raised and planted in Baltimore, Shawn’s career was launched by the American Visionary Art Museum and from the very first paintings his career went viral and the internet had nothing to do with it. Quickly he became one “the most popular painter to ever come from Maryland” according to the museum, and Shawn has been busy living the dream he never dreamt about growing up. Shawn likes to say he “Recycles Baltimore” because all of his paintings are on reclaimed, recycled pieces of wood or house parts he finds wherever he goes. He uses car paints, house paints, spray cans, and acrylics to create his bright bold abstract work. In 2013 he decided to take the show on the road by creating the very first Art Truck – A mobile gallery featuring his own work with an occasional emerging local artists helping them get their start.
