La Loupe Design
- Mixed Media,
BIO
Jorgelina Lopez, a textile designer, along with Marco Duenas, a cross-disciplinary wood artist, founded a design studio where they integrate their mediums to create functional and artistic objects: La Loupe Design. Influenced by 20th-century art and design movements, geometric forms and clean lines are reflected in their series of home interior lighting and wall art pieces.
Believing in the beauty and value of handmade objects, their work seeks to explore artisanal processes with new technologies and creative concepts. The name of the studio, La Loupe, which means magnifying glass, represents the idea of curiosity and discovery. A symbol of wonder, exploration, and the visual attention they give to our designs. Their goal is to create timeless and finely handmade objects that find the perfect and beautiful balance between craft, art, and design.
Each piece is designed and handcrafted by the couple in their textile studio and woodshop in Baltimore, MD.
