BIO
Ruchi Gupta of Birds at Noon is a ceramic artist whose vessels carry poems and light, merging joy and reflection with form and function. Her work explores the fluidity that comes with being in the moment, in a state of flow. The drawings, brushwork, or carving all start with a dot and grow on their own. Each piece is layered, unique, and is fired a minimum of three times. Ruchi was born and raised in India, and after completing her engineering and MBA degrees, she worked in corporate IT for a decade. For the past nine years, she has been working as a full-time ceramic artist in her home studio in Richmond, VA.
