The Turquoise Easel
- Mixed Media,

BIO
Tracey Coleman of The Turquoise Easel is a mixed media artist whose creative foundation was shaped through Washington, D.C. magnet schools, which exposed her to diverse media, museums, travel and galleries. This experience peaked her curiosity and love of creating many forms of art. Although her career path initially led her to become an Optician and entrepreneur, art has remained a lifelong passion.
Following a period of illness that brought unexpected stillness, art became a vital source of healing and renewal. Tracey now works primarily as a mixed media Artist using acrylic paint as a base, then incorporating unexpected materials such as unique, cultural, vintage, US and foreign postage stamps, handmade papers, textiles, and found treasures. Her work often carries a whimsical sensibility inspired by everyday life, family, travel and cultural stories.
Guided by play, intuition, and spontaneity, she views art as a sanctuary, an ongoing space for exploration, and rediscovering joy again and again.
