Julie Nicholson is the creator and owner of Loud Beads, a handmade jewelry brand based in Columbia, Maryland. What began four years ago as a creative outlet and love for beads has grown into a vibrant small business rooted in joy, self-expression, and community connection.

As a mom of two sweet boys, Julie builds her business in the in-between moments of everyday life; late nights, early mornings, and pockets of creative inspiration. Her designs are colorful and meaningful, ranging from custom charm necklaces and themed children’s jewelry to statement pieces that encourage confidence and individuality.

Beyond creating jewelry, Julie is passionate about bringing people together. Through private charm necklace parties, DIY bead kits, and interactive workshops, she creates experiences that allow others, especially kids and moms, to tap into their own creativity.
