BIO
Bill Wierzalis of Italy in Color has been a photographer for 30 years and has focused on the film aspect, shooting with a 1972 Nikkormat 35mm camera. Working in professional photo labs as well as design companies, he has broadened his technical and compositional eye.
Visiting his native Italian wife’s family has prompted him to discover hidden gems from the Alps to Sicily. His trips to Italy since the seventies have awakened his global vision.
Beside participating in 20 art shows a year, he has taught color printing from film at Full Circle Studios. He enjoys teaching the lost art of printing from negatives in the darkroom. This allows him to impart the slower, non-digital, hands-on experience to students and to keep the analog process alive and well.
