Director Commentary: Hello, my name is Moise Morancy. I am 25 years old and I am a product of Brooklyn, New York. Filmmaking has been my refuge, my platform and my passion. I have been independently creating content since childhood. But “When a Tree Falls” is my first official project. It’s semi-autobiographical and I am just so happy that I set out a goal to complete this film and tell a story, which I believe that needs to be told. (Especially in the Black community)
I’m even more humbled to have the opportunity to even submit this film. To get this far, is truly an honor. Thank you for giving a voice to the voiceless!
