BIO

Mary DeStefano (b. 1982) is a Washington, DC-metro-area visual artist who works in acrylic, pastel, and watercolor. Born and raised in the woods of Arkansas, she is strongly influenced by her rural roots, painting primarily bold, but serene landscapes and plants. She has shown her work in New York, Connecticut, Washington DC, Maryland, and Arkansas, and her work has been commissioned and collected nationally. She has a BFA from Yale University and a master’s in urban planning from Hunter College. She lives in Hyattsville, Maryland with her husband and two young children.
