J. K. Heiser of Easel Treks is a self-taught artist who has been painting for 25 years. At first, he wanted to try it because he loved and appreciated all forms of art, but he has grown to enjoy the relaxation that comes from the process as much as the satisfaction of the finished product. He usually uses acrylics and paints on canvas, being inspired by photographs, memories, and imaginative ideas that bring him back to his easel. His work includes Maryland landscapes, historic sites, local landmarks and seascapes.
