Cruz Newman of cruz illustrations is originally from a city called Merida, located in the Venezuelan Andes. Merida is a magical place, surrounded by gigantic mountains and different terrains. Cruz went to school for Industrial Design and then moved to London to experience the world from a different perspective. Now, Cruz lives in Upstate NY, which is where she finally and happily settled, and where she feels incredibly inspired to constantly create and express themself through her paintings.
