Columbia, MD based artist, Cheri Glover, has a keen eye for color and design. Cheri is recognized for her experimentation with shapes, transparencies and the use of positive and negative space to create unusual compositions. She starts a painting intuitively using acrylic paint on canvas and enjoys the paint for its flexibility and the fun unexpected things that happen when colors are used in relation to shapes. Her love for life and nature is seen in her work and she wants her art to resonate with others in a way that brings them similar emotions. Cheri has sold her artwork to collectors across the US and has had many local solo shows in Howard County.

What is The Columbia Festival of the Arts?
The Columbia Festival of the Arts is a multi-weekend event that celebrates music, art, and entertainment. Lakefest includes live performances, children's creative activities, a juried fine arts and crafts show, a variety of hands-on workshops for all ages and outdoor festival food fare.
The days following LakeFest are comprised of a variety of free and ticketed events, including performances in multiple disciplines, master classes, workshops, fine art exhibitions, literary offerings, film and frequent opportunities to interact directly with artists.
